I have a Kobo Libra 2 and I love it, but one hassle has been to load books onto it. I do buy some books on Kobo Store, but most often I buy the book physically and then copy a DRM-free version to my ebook-reader. To streamline that process, I have wanted to setup Calibre in order to facilitate the transfer of the .epub-file to my Kobo. I have a server but currently not a desktop computer, so Calibre is not a good option, since it has to run in a GUI.

I stumbled upon GarminDB a while ago, and as we are doing more and more DevOps at work I have had an urge to learn more about monitoring services using Grafana. It hit me that combining GarminDB with Grafana to visualise my training data would be a nice little project to learn some Grafana.

Part of my spending have gained me some really good experiences, such as getting a boat and a motorbike, but I do spend too much money on stuff that doesn’t matter.
